Our Story
The Meraki Misions International organization was founded by Muwanguzi Elisha in 2019. As Covid-19 spread into the heart of Africa, he witnessed a growing need for support in the impoverished areas of Jinja, Uganda.
Eli noticed that single moms (many of who were raped by family members), widows, children, and young boys (who had to drop out of school due to the pandemic) were suffering the most. So, he made it his mission, in combination with his ministerial pursuits, to found an organization that can help provide, teach, and empower those he met.
In addition to providing ministry and hope, Elisha and his team provide counseling for mental health, trauma healing, anxiety, suicidal cases, and drug addiction. The lead giver received his certificates in Mental Health coaching, Mental and Behavior Health Disorders, and Foundations of Mental Health Coaching in 2020.
In 2022, he partnered with U.S.-based good Samaritan Mandy Froelich to expose the organization to even more change-makers in the hope of furthering his mission of teaching the less privileged skills that can provide for a lifetime.
We have humble origins and a small team but led by God and driven by the desire to witness positive change, our team believes anything is possible.

The gift of $25
Without even thinking about it, many of us spend far more than $25 in one month on our coffee habits. Perhaps you’re thinking, “That isn’t that much!” – and maybe it isn’t, for you.
But for the impoverished and lesser privileged in regions like Jinja, Uganda, $25-$30 is enough to feed one person for an entire month.
Sure – they’re not going to be dining on gourmet meals and fine wine, but luxuries like that aren’t even considered in some of the poorest regions in the world. Rice, beans, and vegetables will do.
Living on the opposite side of the world, it sometimes is easy to forget there are others who experience drastically different challenges in life. Our international team’s mission is to tenderly remind those who have been blessed to help feed and empower communities like the one in Jinja.
For less than $1 per day, you can help bring hope, life, and meaning into the lives of people who have heart, soul, and the vision to build careers and security for themselves and their families.
When you support the Meraki Missions International organization, you’re doing more than feeding someone for a day. You’re empowering the givers to teach the less privileged – single moms, widows, young children, and teenage boys who have had to drop out of school due to COVID – skills that can enhance their lives for a lifetime.
100% (after donation processing fees) of all donations are utilized to further this mission.
We’re on a mission
to Educate and Empower!
If you want to feed a wo/man for a day, give them a fish. If you want to feed them for a lifetime, teach them a valuable craft or skill and watch God work in their lives!
In addition to providing food to the hungry, our group’s primary mission is to teach valuable business development skills and empower the single mothers with education. The opportunity to learn new skills, such as basket weaving and hair dressing, is the key to lift them and their children out of poverty.
