Who do you help?
Our primary demographic includes young, single mothers (many of whom are victims of rape), poverty-stricken young boys who had to drop out of school due to COVID-19, and widows with little to no income.
What do you mean by "Faith-based"?
We believe in one God, the father Almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth! Our collective mission is to serve and continue to show God’s love whether through delivering food or helping to empower young mothers to learn new skills and trades.
Can I volunteer?
Absolutely! We are always looking for helpers. If you have some skills and would like to help out, please email info@eliagapegivers.org.
Where does my money go?
After processing fees (we are working on reducing these by changing the platform we accept donations through), 100% of all donations are directed to our founding organizer, Muwanguzi Elisha, who manages the Jinja-based team and outreach.
Can I meet some of the people I am helping?
Absolutely! We are working on highlighting the people who are benefited from your efforts with the “Case Studies” compilation. Please keep an eye out for that!
Where can I learn more?
We are in the process of creating social media platforms to continue highlighting the efforts for donors elsewhere than Uganda to showcase how the funds are being used. We have adopted a transparency model to ensure every sponsor feels 100% confident in how their donations are utilized.
